James Washburn, Optician
James Washburn is a certified optician with over 20 years experience and for the past nine years he has headed the Giles Eye Care Optical Shop. James is licensed by the American Board of Opticianry and by the state of Massachusetts (Maine does not require opticians to be licensed). He has been certified by leading lens manufacturers, Carl Zeiss of Germany and Pentax.
James is a graduate of Middlesex Community College in Bedford, Massachusetts and the Opticianry Program at Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology and afterward served a three-year apprenticeship with a practice in Massachusetts.
He is an avid hiker and kayaker.
